Wine experiences: the journey of my passion for sharing wine with people:

I was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, in 1975. When I was a child, I always enjoyed bringing everything within my reach to my nose. Picking up the smells of all the objects that passed through my hands, or treasuring the aromas of the air around me; it didn’t matter if it was in a grocery store, in my school or a in playground. Smells, for me, were much more important than the appearance of things. Through them I created my own universe of pleasures, which also helped me identify what I didn’t like.

As I grew older, I realized that it was through wine that I could evoke these memories and, at the same time, share these subjective experiences with others.

One day, after completing my degree in Image and Sound Design at the University of Buenos Aires, and having worked for more than 20 years in a hierarchical position within an association of multinational companies, I realized that I needed to rekindle the passion that had been dormant in me.

First I attended an introductory course at the Centro Argentino de Vinos y Espirituosas (C.A.V.E.). Some time later, I studied Professional Tasting at the Escuela Argentina de Vinos (E.A.V.) for two years. As a former student of the E.A.V., I became a member of the AAS (Argentine Association of Sommeliers), a member of the A.S.I. (Association de la Sommellerie Internationale).

On several occasions, I made study trips to different wineries in Argentina in order to deepen my knowledge. I also participated in wine fairs in Argentina and other international ones, such as Vinexpo in Bourdeaux. Thanks to my permanent curiosity, I trained, and continue to train, in various specialization seminars offered by the AAS online, given by leading figures in the world of wine worldwide.

Additionally, and shortly after moving to Berlin in May 2019, I co-founded an online shop specialized in the commercialization of Argentine, Chilean and Uruguayan wine, called Andenweine. Currently this shop distributes wine all over Europe.

After I moved from Buenos Aires to Berlin, and for the period that the world pandemic allowed me, I conducted wine experiences and tastings in person, with strong support in the sensory area, assisting participants in the discovery of their own ability to detect aromas. Wine tastings in Berlin allowed me to meet a different audience than I was used to.

I really enjoy not only talking about the wines I present, their stories and their origins, but also encouraging all wine lovers to enjoy such a wonderful beverage with all their senses.

I am in love with wine and all the possibilities it has given me over the years to meet people, make friends and never quench my thirst for learning. Wine can be a fragment of our own memory in a glass, and a wonderful way to put it into words.
